Arizona AIA Rule (Bylaw 15.11.1) — Updated 2024
- ✓ Arizona high school athletes CAN earn money from NIL as individuals.
- ✗ NIL activity must NOT be connected to the athlete's school team or AIA-sanctioned program.
- ✗ No school logos, uniforms, mascots, or facilities can appear in NIL content.
- ✗ Compensation cannot be based on athletic performance or used as an incentive to enroll/stay enrolled.
- ✓ Athletes must disclose NIL deals to their athletic director.
- ✗ Schools, coaches, and boosters cannot negotiate or arrange NIL deals on a student's behalf.
